The 2020e sets a new standard for laboratory accuracy in an
extremely compact, portable instrument for turbidity measurement.
While replacing the original Model 2020, the redesigned EPA compliant
2020e combines an advanced microprocessor with a patent pending optical
chamber resulting in higher accuracy and a wider range.
A multi-detector optical
configuration assures long term stability and minimizes stray light and
color interferences. All readings are determined by the process of signal
averaging over a 5 second period. This minimizes fluctuations in readings
attributed to large particles and results in rapid, highly repeatable
measurements.

2020e Features:
- Field &
Lab Use - The 2020e is an ideal choice for regulatory
monitoring, process water testing, and environmental water
analysis in the field or laboratory.
- EPA Compliant
- This nephelometric turbidity instrument meets or exceeds EPA
design specifications for NPDWR and NPDES turbidity monitoring
programs as specified by USEPA method 180.1. There is also an EPA
compliance reading mode which rounds the reading to meet EPA
reporting requirements.
- Micro Processor
Based - RANGE: 0 to 4000 NTU. The microprocessor enables
auto-ranging over the full range of 0 to 4000 nephelometric
turbidity units (NTU) and provides direct digital readout with a
resolution of 0.01 for the lowest range with an accuracy of ±2%.
- Easy to
Operate & Calibrate - The simple calibration procedure
involves activating the t or s keys until the reading matches the
standard. The microprocessor adjusts the factory programmed
calibration curve accordingly.
- European CE
Mark - The 2020e has been independently tested and has earned
the European CE Mark of compliance for electromagnetic
compatibility and safety.
- Computer
Interface - A port is provided to interface with a computer
utilizing the LaMotte SMARTLink2 software and cable. Order Code
1912-CD (not included).
- Kit Includes
- 2020e Portable Turbidity Meter, four optically selected sample
vials with screw caps, standardization package consisting of 0
NTU, 1 NTU and 10 NTU standards, sample bottle, extra
battery, illustrated instruction manual, and a sturdy carrying
case. (See above photo.)

HI-98703
$806.00
HANNA's new HI 98703 portable Turbidity Meter utilizes an
EPA compliant tungsten light source and state-of-the-art optical system
that allows consistently reliable and accurate measurements for
turbidity. Users will appreciate the accuracy and sensitivity of this
instrument, particularly at very low turbidity levels.
To meet EPA reporting requirements these instruments
have an EPA compliance reading mode. HI 98703 meets all EPA requirements
with regards to the Standard Methods for Turbidity Measurements.
Turbidity is measured up to 1000 NTU. Depending on the measured sample
and required accuracy, users can select normal measurement, continuous
measurement or signal averaging. HI 98703 can be equipped with HANNA's
(optional) Tag Identification System (TIS) which allows users to record
the time and location of a specific measurement or series of
measurements. Logged data can be downloaded to a PC through either USB
or RS232 connections. Reliable performance of the instrument is
validated using Hanna's exclusive Cal Check® system. For turbidity, a
two, three or four-point calibration is available using pre-set or user
defined standards. Frequent Calibration isn't necessary as the system
compensates for variations in the intensity of the light source. The
instruments' Good Laboratory Practice functions allow traceability of
calibration conditions including the time, date and last calibration
points. At startup, the meter displays the percentage of remaining
battery life. A 'low battery' warning message is also displayed on the
LCD to avoid unexpected battery failure. This instruments is equipped
with backlighting. The current date and time can be displayed on the
LCD.
